the weekend

Friday
We took a little trip to the airport along with the rest of Joel's family.

Uncle James (Joel's brother) is home visiting from China. Yay!
The kids were so excited to see him.
We were too...of course.

Saturday
Joel was home for the afternoon.
Always such a nice surprise.
We worked in the yard while Levi slept.
Joel mowed and I admired my first Zinnia of the summer. :)

Then we finished up a project we have been working on for Levi.
Just one last thing to do this week.
I'll show you when it is all done...I hope Levi likes it!

 Sunday
After church we spent the rest of the day with my family celebrating a belated Father's Day.
It was HOT so we spent all afternoon in the pool.
Levi wasn't so sure about the water...maybe next time.

But he did have fun watching his cousins.
He laughed and clapped his hands for them.

Such a fun weekend filled with family and lots of cousin time.
How was your weekend?

The weekend was amazing! The kids are at 'Grandma Camp' and Bri and I went up to Payson. So good.

We had fresh zinnias in an arrangement at church Sunday morning... it definitely means its summertime! My favorite moment from our weekend was getting new pictures of my girls made (posted them today on my blog)...but I probably should have worked some housework in there somewhere, since I looked around this morning and it was chaos!

Where does your BIL live in China? Our youngest was adopted from Inner Mongolia, China - we were there August of 2009 & visited several cities.

Beautiful pictures, Jess. I love reading your blog, but rarely comment. Guess I'm what they call a lurker.

Levi is such a cute baby.

All the cousins are so cute! All so blonde! My niece was "reading" the blog with me today and she kept pointing to the picture of Cora in the cow costume. Emmy kept saying she was a horse. Guess we need to get her out to a farm more often. LOL P.S. - Is James single? {just kidding, I'm too old}

Oh my goodness. The cousins are all adorable together. I bet they have lots of fun when they get together. Our weekend was fun. We love our summers, but they always fly by. Can't wait to see your latest project.

My little guy isn't too sure of water yet either. Unless it is a warm hot tub. Then he LOVES it...with a death grip on Mommy of course. :)
