At two months you are not so little anymore. You are growing fast. And you are a BIG boy. You weighed 14 pounds 12 ounces and were 23.5 inches long at your two month appointment. Slow down little guy! You are hungry ALL the time, so it is no wonder you are growing so much. I even had someone at the grocery store ask me if you were 6 months old the other day. Let's just say he isn't very good at identifying baby ages...surely you don't look THAT big!
You are starting to be so much more interactive. We pulled out Cora's Happy Hippo and you loved it just as much as she did. You smile and talk to the toys. You even started waving your little hands and hitting the toys. You especially love the cow...of course.
You are smiling and talking ALL the time. Your smiles are awesome. You make us smile too. And we love talking to you. Your coos and attentiveness make a mama's heart melt.
We haven't quite figured out sleeping during the day. You are usually a cat napper. Sometimes you sleep for 2-3 hours in the afternoon, but not everyday. You sleep great at night though. You are sleeping 7-8 hours now. You usually sleep from 10-5 and then go back to sleep until 7 or 8. Yeah Levi!
You LOVE your car seat. You sleep great in the car which means we can take you pretty much anywhere. You don't always do so good once we get there, but at least you are good in the car!
Your daddy thinks this outfit is a little arrogant, but hey...it's true.
You are a cutie.
And so sweet too.
We love you little big Levi.

Okay, Jess... call me slow, but it just hit me today (and I've been reading your blog for the past 6 months) how hard it would be to get out all the baby things you used with sweet little Cora :( When I read this post and read that you pulled out her hippo toy, my eyes welled up with tears, realizing how hard that must have been for you! All the memories. Wow.
I stopped and said a prayer for you. Its those little things that make me realize I've got no clue what you're going through, but God gives me little glimpses of how to pray for you.

Gretchen had her 4 month appt. last week... even though she's 4 1/2 months. She weighed 14 # 12 oz. I think Levi is going to be like Lawson. He reached the 20# weight limit on his first carseat when he was 5 months old. We couldn't take him to Wal-Mart or anywhere with a shopping cart b/c he couldn't sit up yet!!
He is SUCH a cutie, Jess! I'm so glad I could see him again last week...I wish I could've seen a few more of those precious smiles but I'm glad I got in some snuggling time! Thanks again for meeting me!

I have been following your blog since just before Cora passed. I have really enjoyed watching to see what characteristics of Cora's that Levi may have. He sure is a beautiful baby! I am SO happy that your empty arms have been filled, but understand that there is still a nagging leftover from the loss of Cora. There were times I pulled out some of the things we were going to use for our first daughter. When it was time to use them with Jesstine, I couldn't do it! My heart still goes out to you and I also celebrate with you and praise God for the joy you now have in Levi!
I love reading your blog, you are such an inspiration to me and I have learned so much from your strength and faith! I am so thankful that the Lord has blessed you with precious Levi! He is SO cute! Love these pics! My daughter will be 5 months this week and weighs 13 lbs 10 oz. ;) At least Levi is a dude...and a very cute one at that! He doesn't look big in the pics tho!
As I was just reading your blog, Caden came up behind me and said, "That baby is cute. He looks like Cora." I explained that's because Levi is Cora's little brother and they must have the same cute genes! Levi's adorable!!
